shoes to die for

the last time i went for interview iki marah i sebab pakai my gladiator sandal heels. so last monday i went shoe shopping with lynn to get covered shoes. and mesti nude, light pink or beige because i need to coordinate with baju!

anyway, saw some pretty shoes : too expensive, heel too high or heel too low.

dahlah aku kan kaki cacat, susah gile nak jumpe size (i'm a size 3, i know, cacat)

then i saw the exact colour and shape i wanted. walaupun besar byk, the sales girl immediately tambah sponge kat dalam and it FIT perfectly! it's a miracle, basically, you can tambah sponge inside (under the toes) and they'll glue the sponge inside the covering free of charge. Dahlah heels yg ade platform, ade 3 layer of sponges under my toes, ini 2 kali platform ok (tapi tak rase tinggi pon)

No such a thing as too big shoes! Semua pon bole adjust!!

Tapi....bole tak semalam seharian jalan Times Square kaki macam nak patah. Seriously maybe the sponges changed the shape of the shoe and made it squeeze my toes to death. But, perempuan kene tabah benda² camni. Since i'm short i will forever have to rely on heels so sakit macamane pon aku takkan surrender.

Might seem like a stupid thing but, kenapa perempuan kene seksa diri pakai heels and all that. Well, i don't know but stands to reason that if you want something, even if it's hard you should strive for it. Kalo tak biase pakai heels mmg la sakit. But kalo dah biase kejar bas pon bole in 6 inch heels.

So after two days of naik tangga turun tangga, jalan keliling shopping malls in torturous heels, i think my feet have adapted. I feel like org Cina zaman dolu yg kaki kene bound. Or a ballerina, tgk cite ballerina kaki and toes diorang slalu luka.

This is my philosophy with high heels : a woman must persevere.

Not to say that my belief is like macam girls in Devil in Prada or high fashion ke ape. i believe in comfortable clothing. I'm ok with jeans and tshirt, selipar jepun and kadang² kuar rambut tak sikat has a certain chic to it. ça passe. but if you want to be girlie occasionally and wear heels (like me, when i want to be girlie aku teramat sangat girlie. like wearing bows and ribbons and floral dresses) then certain sacrifices must be made.
