First, went on a this balik hari trip to barcelona-not ideal but i have now set foot on spanish soils.
The highlight of the trip was the ride - we went in a BMW!! I felt rich. And nothing is more soothing than falling asleep in a vehicle going at 18o km/h. I'm a trusting soul.
Also, short medieval stop in carcassone...where i bought a bow and arrow (that IS where they short Robin Hood:Prince of Thieves). Also i like buying crap.

Then, went on a weekend trip to verona and venice - also in the top 5 places i wanna first visit with someone special. Now i can tick that off my list.

First : the hotel. I got comparatively cheap prices for a romantic hotel. Hotel Villa Foscarini in Mogliano Veneto -the place to stay if you wanna visit venice cuz it's 15 minutes away on train. Each room has a JACUZZI!
Truth : Nice-Venice was supposd to take 5 hours. I accidentally got beb lost (Mappy sucks!). For two hours at 4 am in Genoa. Why does this always happen to me??
That plus a two hour jam just to get through the Venice toll...beb practically fainted the moment the concierge opened the hotel door. 10 hours drive - i'm so sorry, baby.
And i love that you didn't yell at me. At all.

That night, we went to Verona (the city of Romeo and Juliet) to watch opera at The Arena. Basically like the Coliseum but it's not in ruins and they still use it. Presumably not to watch murder, though.
Barber of Seville in the original italian, no subtitles. It was sooo beautiful.
I only fell asleep halfway through the 2nd act. Hey, it's a three hour opera!
Beb has proclaimed Verona the most beautiful city he has ever been in.
Afterwards we walked around...didn't get to see Juliet's balcony but we vandalised her gate (legend has is that if you with your names on her gate, your love will be eternal).
Next day : Venice. It was beautiful. Btw, never order spaghetti a la sotong hitam. Because this is what happens.

sorta like extras from pirates of the caribbeans.
Other than that, beb got ray-bans. We fed pigeons at the piazza san marco.

I have never been so happy.
