amie 's gonna graduate in a few weeks time.
btw, congrats on your first class honor!!
we always talk about adulthood like it's something far away. it's a someday we couldn't imagine. plus, horror stories from debutant adults asik nak takutkan je
everybody's started working. well, i'll be here another 3 years....if i'm lucky and work my ass off.
i'm here...in a comfort zone.
people in malaysia are so far away.
things like working, adult responsibilities and money problems don't really register.
jpa's good for things like that :)
my first things to do when i grow up list :
1. i have to start wearing make-up
HORRORS! i am a comot person. i have a face like a 12 year old. make up does not suit me.
and yet appearance is what counts if you wanna be taken seriously.
2. work
in case you didn't know. i'm studying engineering. telecom. which i suck at. me? engineer?
please.
before you conclude that i'm another spoiled little girl wasting her life on something she
doesn't like....erm, conclude away.
but amie just gave me some hope for the future....i don't HAVE to be an engineer you know.
i could go on to be something i never studied anything about in school.
that's all i can think of right now. but...i'm growing up. i'll be 23 soon. that's a big number. that's
the number where all your friends start getting married and launching glamorous careers and
you have to take care of parents and first purchase of car, house, cat and fendi handbag.
ros got married yesterday i think. (that's a schoolmate from langkawi- not that close)
congrats anyway.
a friend of mine giving birth soon. i'm very happy for her.
i'm buying my mom a fendi handbag (wait, is that relevant?) ....buying expensive things for a parent is kinda adult - getting over the self-involved phase, non?
nevermind.
the point is : we're all growing up. it's time we realised that the future isn't as scary as we think. or we'll never get there.
it's better to start the first step before the fear crowds in.
