went out today...to fnac because....
i had developed a sudden aversion to football in general.
i'm in dire need of some optimistic reading.
which basically means....the search for historical romance in france.
no easy thing.
i know...i'm too old for mills and boons, judith mcnaught and all that crap.
when you tell people you like reading they expect salman rushdie, the god of small things, war and peace.
it's not like i haven't read those stuff. it's just that i haven't finished. or started.
they're just too boring for words.
and they give me headaches from thinking too much and changing ideas on life.
plus...it's not like i believe all that romance crap. they're just sweet. misleading but sweet.
and they make me understand posh british accent.
hah! years of reading useless girlie novels made me know the meaning of "paragon".
not the exact meaning...but the general meaning.
it means "the embodiment of perfection."
girls need some romance to stay cute and upbeat dammit!
that's what i read today in fnac...stayed all 1h30 on the floor too.
cried my eyes out. yes, some people stared but i never really care.
i am now a fan of julia quinn.
