it is all you could expect from an Oscar nominated movie. i don't know, depends on your tastes - it was pretty slow, some conversation too cliche and trying too hard but despite of all that i didn't really get the feeling of boredom.
overall, i think it's a beautiful movie. you feel something, that's the point of watching a movie, isn't it? coming out the of the cinema feeling utterly thunderstruck (now why do people say that? can you actually be struck by thunder??). oh, and cate blanchett was GORGEOUS!
