the curse of the henry handball

i cannot tahan. just yelling into the tv screen every night can't make me happy.

note : in this world cup, i am completely impartial. my comments are so far inane and useless. i don't care who wins and who lose. i'm in it just for the sake of the entertainment. and because i have no laptop to feed my internet addictions.

some backstory : france vs. ireland, in the run up to the world cup. whoever wins gets a place in the world cup. also known as the time when thierry henry played a combination of football-volleyball-handball which was suddenly allowed by FIFA a.k.a Michl Platini.

fast foward to the present day : in the middle of the world cup, in which france is doing terribly : striker expulsions, resignations, fights during training, training boycotts -quel drame!

in ireland somewhere, leprachauns must be dancing around their pots of gold. only to be expected after vengeful irish spirits have been dancing naked around trees for weeks and cursing france.

i, for one can't stand how the french public and officials are throwing the players to the dogs. the way they're carrying on is as if missing a training is equivalent to treason. what do you expect when they have a manager they can't trust?

and the self-absorption! imagine talking to drogba just after cote d'ivoire defeat just to ask what did he think about the french drama? his team just lost to brazil, you think he cares?

i'm on the players' side on this (i can't help it, the underdogs contradicting everyone, it's too irresistible). i hope they go through and continue to snub management.
