I think I've been to all the outdoor movies in KL. The first one was in Bukit Kiara, outdoors in the field. It was great. I remember I went with Kak Nailah and Iqa.
It was back when I was in my first year in MFI. I was a bit of a loner, I tend to do badly in environments I'm not used to. MFI took a lot of getting used to I think.
Anyway, that was Merdeka night - Lord of the Rings 1,2 and 3. It drizzled halfway through and I fell asleep under the umbrella - it was great.
This time around Hypptv (the TV for TM Unifi) organised another one in Bukit Kiara - the difference being it was INDOORS which was a pity because it was such a lovely balmy night. I went with Lynnie and later Maiya, her boyfriend and some of their friends joined us.
So how was it? Hmmm...moyenne (it means...so-so). It was actually nice to actually stretch out in the sand on a sleeping bag (Lynn brought the sleeping bag, the pillows and blanket) and watch movies. It feels exactly like Cannes at night.
But the event management in terms of stalls were awful. And the fact that they had it indoors made it stuffy. Movie choices were questionable too...I fell asleep all through the Thai horror movie at the end because it lacked a plot and lacked an actual ghost.
But all in all, for a free event (for invited Unifi customers), it's not bad and I appreciated the gesture.
I would probably be raving had I won an iPad though (they were giving out ipads to tweeters - Lynn was my designated tweeter and she tweeted like crazy). But I'm nor raving here, a sure sign we did not get an ipad.
But fun times.
