so. wednesday?

clearly, syikin has too much time right now and is making up for lost time on this neglected space.

i tried avoiding what i imagined would be cekpah's reaction syikin-sekali-blog-dixuit-entry-sekaligus. tried putting things in draft. planned to publish one entry a day. then i choked cos i want to talk!

i'm at home every day and not having human interaction is freaking me out.

i went back to the library and borrowed books - oscar wilde to make me laugh and confuse me and keep me up at night. jeffrey archer to make me marvel at how manipulative people can be. susan elizabeth philips because yes, i still love reading chic lit.

i read dilbert cartoons. i do online training on things like "Handling Difficult People and Situations" and "Communicating Assertively" (which incidentally is covered by Dilbert as well - LOL).

i keep myself occupied. it's at times like these that my head is just exploding with dialogues. Did I ever tell you about voices in my head? Nah, I'm not crazy. I just talk a lot in my head, there is logical, rational Syikin versus emo bitch Syikin.

In other news, did you know that Wikipedia is on black out today to protest the US Bill on Online Piracy? Basically if this bill passes, US can cut funding to any website accused of piracy. Like Youtube for example. I can't see this bill going through though. No Facebook, Youtube, Twitter?

Corporate America would never stand for it. Not to mention the literally Bloody fight put up by EVERYONE ELSE.

Back in school I Wikipedia-ed everything. But now...not so much. But I maintain that while we should not be too dependent and take Wikipedia as word of truth, Wikipedia is/was a revolution that taught us to thirst for knowledge.

It is a moment to think about what the world would be like without free knowledge. Especially since I am against buying books (why would I buy something I could get for free with just a yearly subscription at the local library?) I would have totally failed my job interviews (wikipedia is excellent at cram preparations).

Food for thought.
